d. Identify examples of attitudes that need to be developed to ensure cultural competence

   보장된 문화적 역량을 발전시키기 위해 필요한 자세의 예를 드시오

 

-> 역시나 비슷한 내용의 질문들이 이어지고 있는데요, 여기에는 예를 드는 것이니 실제 예를 적어야 합니다

 

The attitude that people look down on other different culture only because they don't get used to it.

And the attitude that ignores toward individual cultures from proudness of their own culture.

 

이와 같이 존중해주고 다름을 인정하고 문화적 다양성을 수용한다는 측면으로 쓰시면 되겠습니다

 

 

e. What type of skills does a person need when developing cultural competence?

    문화적 역량을 기르기 위해 사람에게 어떤 기술과 자질이 필요되는가?

 

Cultural awareness (Observation skill, Appreciate differences, Not assuming that the person does what everybody does, Patience to each culture’s style) appropriate communication with people from other cultures

 

-> 문화적 다름의 인식, 함부로 문화적 정당화하거나 가정, 추측하지 않도록 하기, 다름을 인정하고 수용하는 능력, 소통의 능력 등등의 답을 통해 문화적 역량을 기르기 위한 기술이 필요함을 적으면 됩니다

 

 

f. Looking at the area you live in, identify the cultural identities of children and families that would be attending the early childhood services within your area.

   

   실제 경험, 실습, 간접 경험을 바탕으로 하여 문화적 정체성에 대해서 서술하는 문제입니다

 

 

e.g) I’ve been to one child care centre in ____위치______ and found out _______________

There are children from Asian background cultures. So in order to educate their children and train them, it will be needed to fully understand their cultures and try to have cultural awareness for them. After this, I will support individual cultural identities.

 

-> 경험을 쓰고 이를 바탕으로 하여 문화적 인식과 다양함에 관련해서 느낀 것을 중심으로, 특히 다양함을 강조하고 이에 대한 특징들을 나열하면 됩니다

   문화적 역량이 '나' (여러분)에게 어떤 뜻인지 왜 중요한지 '복사하지 말고 자신의 글로 적으세요'

Question 2

Scenario A family has moved from India to Australia 5 months ago and is looking to put their child Pria, who is 2 years old, into an early learning Centre. The Director explained to them that her centre focuses on play-based learning and children are free to make choices and decisions which educators plan experiences based of these interests and needs. The parents Ruushi and Patel, are very confused and continue to ask why children are allowed so much independence and make their own choices. They go on to say that centres should focus on school readiness and preparation for schooling. They continued to tell the director that in their country, childcare is very different and that the children focus on academic work rather than play and the children were to follow the routine and instructions of the educators.

 

 

a. As an educator, what strategies would you use to welcome this family and acknowledge their values and needs within the service?

 어떤 전략을 통해서 Childcare 현 서비스가 그들의 가치와 요구를 만족시킬 수 있을까? 

 

e.g)

 let them know it is essential to do play-based learning and children are free to make choices and decisions which educators plan experiences based of these interests and needs for every child with statistic or graph from each school.

In addition, print the sheets of what the goal will be and get them understand the purpose of what they want is on same track and them know what is requirements.

 

-> 여기서 중요한 것은 현 서비스가 그들의 요구를 충족시킬 수 있음을 전달해야 하고 현 센터와 서비스에서 놀이를 통한 학습의 유용함을 알려주어서 부모님이 추구하는 목표를 달성시킬수 있음을 알려주어야 합니다 또 이 사항들을 어떻게 이해시키고 전달할 수 있을지 적으면 됩니다!

 

 

b. How can you make sure that continual respect and reciprocal relationships are maintained, between the family, yourself, and other educators?

 

 

e.g) home language between children and parents and to get their children know how to speak some key-word in English.

 

-> 그들의 모국어를 사용한다는 예, 모국어를 사용할 줄 아는 동료를 통한 소통 등 그들이 편하게 의사소통할 수 있는 방안을 예로 적으면 됩니다!

 

 

c. How would you incorporate their values into services daily routine and programming to meet Pria’s and her family’s needs?

 

 

e.g)

 I would get her family choose some of list that they don't want Pria to do at centre and make Pria do the programming that her family want instead of what they don't want her to do

 

-> 그들의 가족이 필요에 따라서 선호하는 활동을 선택할 수 있음을 알려주거나 자녀가 또한 선택할 수 있음을 적는 등 그들의 선택권이 보장됨을 보여주면 됩니다
