제대로 한국어 배우기 Learning Korean - 주격조사 Subject particles
안녕하세요 ! Annyeonghaseyo!
Hows your day been?
Wish this pandemic go away as quick as possible across the world...!
Today, what we are going to learn is 'Subject particles'
🧐sounds hard... doesn't it?
But dsfasworry, why? because it will be explained in an easy and fast way with Education 101 ~!
1. What is 'Subject particles' ?
😠who are you!!
Korean use Subject particles (eun/ neun/ i/ ga) (은/는/이/가) right after subject in sentences
Here are tips!
(은/는/이/가) will be affected by ending pronunciation of subject !
e.g) Aurora : 오로라 , ending sound is 'a' which is vowel!
2. -은 / -는 : Subject for whole one sentence
eun /neun
제이슨은 학생입니다
eiseun-eun hagsaeng-ibnida
Jason is a student
제임스는 학생입니다
[jeimseuneun hagsaeng-ibnida]
James is a student
Why 'eun' to Jason, 'neun' to James? isn't it discrimination😠😠 or something?
No, no, it is because of different pronunciation at the end of subject word!
🧐If subject pronunciation ends with consonants, we would add -은[eun] as subject particle.
e.g) Jason [제이슨], son can be divided (S)consonant + (O)vowel + (N)consonant, so it ends with consonant!
🧐But if subject pronunciation ends with vowels, we would add -는[neun] as subject paricle.
e.g) James [제임스], we say Ja/me/s in Korean, last pronunciation is '스' (seu)
ㅅ=S, consonant + ㅡ=eu, vowel, so it ends with vowel!
😀😀Let us have a look more examples!
