안녕하세요, 여러분~!

반갑습니다!

I hope every reader of Education 101 is having safe and relaxed days

😇Good news from people,

Since the capability of coping worldly pandemic in South Korea has been acknowledged,

😆MANY OF my friends asked me to teach them Korean and indeed,

the interest of learning Korean is increasing in some countries!

💋💋 I am very glad to see Korean culture will be promoted across the world!

By the way, are you safely home right now? if not, where are you!!!

I want to say 'I am home now!' in Korean!

So, Educational leader prepared, how to say 'Where is ...?'

Then are you prepared to begin?

1. Where is/are ... ? 어디에 있습니까?

어디에 있습니까?      or   어디에 있어요?

eodie   issseubnikka   or  eodie  iss-eoyo?

Where is/are  (Subject) ?

당신은   +     어디에     있습니까/있어요?

dangsin-eun  eodie      issseubnikka/ iss-eoyo?

you (formal way)where  are ?

= Where are you ?

너는                 어디에   있어?

neoneun            eodie    iss-eo?

you(informal way) where   are?

= Where are you ?

Where is 수지...?

2. I am at ~ 나는 ~에   있어/    저는 ~에 있어요

                 naneun ~e iss-eo/  jeoneun ~e iss-eoyo

What would we answer if someone ask 'Where is ~?'

That is,

Subject + Location + 에   있어/ 있어요/ 있습니다

                             e     iss-eo/iss-eoyo/issseubnida

I am at home

나는 집에 있어요

*e : is the location marking particle in Korean. It follows the location noun

*있습니다 issseubnida

: is a formal verb ending for Korean declarative sentences, indication that something/someone is at a certain place

 있어 iss-eo

: is an informal verb ending for Korean declarative sentences, indication that something/someone is at a certain place

 있어요 iss-eoyo

: is a formal way as well, but more casual than issseubnida!

나는 집에 있어요 But................   I want to go out

3. How can we ask  'Where is Toilet/Korean restaurant/train station/Cinema?'

*Where is the toilet?

화장실은         어디에 있어요?/있습니까?

hwajangsil-eun  eodie   iss-eoyo?/issseubnikka?

(Do we all remember 'eun' which is subject particle? please read 'Learning Korean - subject particles')

*Where is the Korean restaurant?

한식당은          어디에  있어요?/있습니까?

hansigdang-eun eodie   iss-eoyo?/issseubnikka?

*Where is the train station?

기차역은        어디에 있어요?/있습니까?

gichayeog-eun eodie  iss-eoyo?/issseubnikka?

*Where is the cinema?

영화관은               어디에 있어요?/있습니까?

yeonghwagwan-eun eodie  iss-eoyo?/issseubnikka?

😁😁 Shall we practice more?

how would you say this, below?

Suji : Where are testing kits for COVID-19 ?????

Bogum : The testing kits for COVID-19 are at Korea ☺️☺️☺️
